- Is there a decent freeware comm driver for Windows? I have had email from
- folks suggesting that the comm driver included with Windows is the reason
- for the terrible WinTRUMPET performance.
-
- Pointers appreciated. I have FTP capability.

- Is this the same sort of problem folks encounter trying to Telnet to XENIX
- hosts running Lachman TCP ? We have this problem currently-- and seems
- to plague only the NCSA telnet derived client programs. A SunOS host,
- A WindowsNT host, and various terminal servers can all happily telnet to
- the XENIX box... but NCSA Telnet, WNQVTNET and friends can not. The
- window opens... and you see the Xenix signon banner... but then the
- window closes right down without any sort of error messages.
-
- I tried turning WNQVTNET's telnet option negotiation OFF but that had
- no affect.
-
- Any clues would be appreciated... I can't get rid of the Xenix box just
- yet...

- Karl, there is one that I've come across. It's called Cybercom and claims to
- support the 16550 UARTS as well. I found it on Aquila BBS in Aurora, Il
- (708)820-8834. I tried it and it seems to work with my 16550 serial card.
